1.8m Yellow Balau Timber timber bench
A standard design well crafted
hardwood bench. Standard four leg straight design with a slatted
timber seating area. The back has a S bend finish to it with a
vertical slatted timber back rest. The hardwood construction gives it
a solid look and is suitable to be left outside all year round. The
bench will last with minimal maintenance for many years.
Supplied easy to assembled in one carton.
What is yellow balau timber? Yellow Balau is a hardwood that is
commonly used in the construction of garden furniture as an
alternative to the well known teak hardwood. Its main appeal to
manufactures is that it is much cheaper than teal. Yellow Balau has
a life span of up to 30 years thanks to high density of the timber
which gives it good durability. Additionally amongst timbers it has
only a small tendency to warp or twist over time. While
the timber will stand up to regular continuous sunshine and rain
exposure the surface of yellow balau over a period of years will
begin to weather to a silvery grey colour. Therefore occasional
treatment with a hardwood oil will help to reduce this.
